About

Based in beautiful Valdez, Alaska we offer a range of services, but our income primarily comes from offering private guided tours. We started offering photography and state-wide bucket list tours in 2016, and after two years of people asking us what else there is to do in Valdez, we opened Alaska Guide. At the time were the only ones in Valdez offering canoe, hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing, mountain biking, and heli-hiking tours opening up an array of new options for visitors to Valdez to engage in.

Since then, we've also expanded to include Glacier Lookout, a replica 1930's fire lookout perched 3,600ft up in the Chugach Mountains overlooking Valdez Glacier and dozens of other glaciers. We also offer a road bike tour from Thompson Pass to our property along the Richardson Highway.

Since we primarily offer private tours, our tours are more relaxed, and adventure levels can vary from group to group. Our staff is smaller, and our pay is on the higher range to compensate for down time. We look for guides who are eager to get out and explore Alaska in their off time, sharpening their skills and learning more about the area. We're happy to teach our guides new skills as well.
